The Blackfalds Wranglers were blanked 4-0 by the Okotoks Bisons on Sunday.

Head coach Sean Neumeier said despite the loss, the team played well, firing 44 shots on goal.

Halfway through the HJHL season, the Wranglers hold a 13-6 record, good for third place in the North division.

It’s a tight race in the division, with Blackfalds trailing the first-place Red Deer Vipers by just three points.

“We’re an elite team in this league,” he said. “It’s going to be hard to reel in Red Deer but we play them three more times … we have the schedule to finish first but we have a lot of work to do. We have a chance for sure.”
