The Blackfalds Wranglers cruised to a 12-1 victory over the Three Hills Thrashers at home on Sunday afternoon.

Forward Landon Siegle led Blackfalds with four goals. He said the coaching staff had them set games within the game to keep them focused against a 1-30 team that they blew out 8-0 the night before.

“We’re trying to outscore them by their shots. Tonight, we won. We had 12 goals and they only had 11 shots so that’s a win for us and that’s how we approached the game tonight,” Siegle said.

“You can’t change your mindset or they could somehow squeak a win by you and steal a game from you. You treat it just like you’re playing the best team in the league. You can’t change your mind at all.”

The Wranglers recorded 72 shots on goal.

They host Ponoka on Tuesday night.
