In line with Phase 2 of the provincial relaunch, the Kinsmen Aquatic Centre in Lacombe will once again be open to the public on July 15th, 2020, with certain health restrictions still in place.

These include:

  • Maintain physical distancing from others
  • Disinfection protocols will be in place
  • Those with COVID-19 symptoms, those who travelled internationally recently or been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 are asked not to enter the facility.
  • Occupancy limits will be in place for the pool, deck, viewing, and change rooms, as well as one-way traffic measures in the lobby, pool deck, and change rooms.
  • Minimal use of the chance rooms is required; guests should come dressed for their activities and arrive no more than five minutes before their scheduled times. 
  • The climbing wall, Tarzan rope, pool toys, and inflatables will not be available, but patrons may bring their own pools toys provided they are clean and can be disinfected.
  • The hot tub will remain closed until Stage 3 of the Provincial Relaunch plan.

Programs available at the centre will include water fitness and low-impact water fitness classes, lane swim (pre-booking required), public swim, private rentals and group lessons, as well as advanced courses and recertification courses.

Group swimming lessons will start on July 20th, with some modifications. Those will credit on their account can register on June 29th, while the general public can register to start July 2nd. You can register here at by calling 403-782-1278.
