From Red Deer College Athletics:

This past week, the RDC Queens Volleyball team defeated the SAIT Trojans twice and the Kings split their series. The Hockey Queens earned three of a possible four points against the Olds College Broncos. The Kings Hockey game from February 2 will be made up on February 22.

Both RDC Basketball teams had a bye week. When they return to action there will be a President’s Challenge planned in conjunction with Olds College during half-time of the men’s games, when the two teams face each other on February 8 and 9. RDC and Olds College frequently partner on initiatives and activities to provide learning and growth opportunities to the communities of central Alberta.

RDC President & CEO, Joel Ward, will compete against Stuart Cullum, President of Olds College, in a game of 21 in Olds on Friday and then at RDC 24 hours later during half-time of the Kings game. The losing President will have to the wear the other team's jersey for a full day on Monday, February 11. If Ward and Cullum split the games of the 21, the point differential will determine the winner.

As part of a beer tasting event, participants are encouraged to make a donation with proceeds going to Central Alberta Sexual Assault Support Centre (CASAC). Olds Brewery and Troubled Monk will be sponsoring the event.
