The student-athlete from Valencia, Spain frequently earns praise from Queens Head Coach Ken King for her outstanding effort.

Spencer Klassen – Kings Basketball

Hometown – Red Deer, AB

Bachelor of Education Elementary (4th year)

It would be difficult for any student-athlete to put up the numbers that RDC’s Spencer Klassen recorded this past weekend, let alone against the undefeated SAIT Trojans (12-0), the number one ranked men’s basketball team in the entire Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).

This past Friday at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre, Spencer was outstanding, nearly willing his team to victory (99-102), in a thrilling game that came down to the final possession.

The Bachelor of Education Elementary student totaled 32 points, eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in the 37 minutes played.

Then on Saturday, the six-foot-two guard led the way for the Kings in Calgary, accumulating 33 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block over 38 minutes.

The fourth-year student-athlete has been the engine for the Kings, consistently playing at a high level and with competitive energy.

His 25.3 points per game leads ACAC Men’s Basketball.
