To kick off the Allan Cup being hosted in Lacombe starting April 8th, Vesta Energy wants you to join in on a luncheon this Friday that will feature two NHL legends.

Former Edmonton Oiler Marty McSorley and former Pittsburgh Penguin Rob Brown will at the Lacombe Memorial Center on Friday, April 5th for the Vesta Energy Experience Luncheon, where they will tell stories and sign autographs.

One of the organizers of the Allan Cup Steve Christie says this is a great way to start off the prestigious amateur men's ice hockey championship.

“We just want to kick-off the 2019 Viking projects Allan Cup week with a luncheon on Friday, so we invite everybody to come out, meet Marty and Rob and just listen to some of their stories, have some fun and get ready for the week to come.”

Christie says this luncheon was the perfect fit for the action-packed hockey week coming up.

“The committee has worked very hard to work with the City as a great host for the 2019 Viking Projects Allan Cup, and we thought, ‘could we take on one more thing?’ And the more we talked about it, the more excited we became and we thought ‘well if we can get some speakers to come we will give it a whirl’ and we decided on Marty and Rob, we reached out to them and they said yes right away.”

The event will be hosted by Sunny 94’s own Tank Montana.

Tickets are $100 per person or $600 for a table of 8. Limited seating is available, so make sure you get your tickets today by contacting Boyd Williams or Michael Gouchie at Royal LePage Lifestyles in Lacombe at 403-782-3171, or contact Steve Christie at 403-588-0182.
