Lacombe Generals begin the final week of Chinook Hockey League action tonight.

Generals host the 5-7-0-8 Innisifail Eagles in the Gary Moe Auto Group Sportsplex for their final meeting of the season.

Coming off two wins last weekend, Head Coach Curtis Austring said he expects a physical game tonight.

"We're now further enough in the season where we know what they're about and we know what to expect. They're a strong forechecking team, they play physical," said Austring.

"I expect the emotional level to be up another notch."

With only two games left in the regular season, Austring said his team knows the importance of finishing strong.

"We're ramping up for playoffs and we're excited to get there, but we have a few more games here to go down the stretch and I think these are good tests."

Forward Kyle Greentree agrees with the coach and said it's important for the team to feel good about their game heading into playoffs next week.

"Going into the playoffs, it's important to get momentum and feel good about our game," said Greentree.

"We have two games to wrap it up here."

Generals sit a top the standings with 17 wins. The Eagles are in third place with 5 wins. In their five games against each other this season, the Generals are a perfect 5-0. Game time is 8 p.m.
