Lacombe Generals definitely dominated play at home last night, crushing Innisfail 9-1.

Dylan Nowakowski tallied 4 goals for the Gens; Jesse Todd had another good night too with 2 goals and an assist.

Todd however says it's not about building goal stats.

“We like the ‘W’s’ instead, and then getting to the Allan Cup and winning is more fun than points right, we’re not all trying to go anywhere after this, we’re here for fun and winning is fun”.

The Gens outshot Innisfail 45-23.

Todd says they’ve always had a strong rivalry with the Eagles.

“It always feels good beating those guys, you don’t ever want to try and lose to those guys, and if you do, it stings for a bit but, we’ve had a good rivalry with them, every time you beat those guys it feels good”.

The Generals are back in action at home this Saturday night (Dec 16th) hosting Stony Plain, puck drop is 8 pm.
