Lacombe Dodgers continue to play good baseball with a 6-3 win over the Red Deer Razorbacks on Friday, improving to 4-1 on the season.

Player-Manager Andre Touchette said overall it was a tough game and was happy to come out with the win.

‘It’s always nice to get the win. It wasn’t our best game, but we did enough to get it done so we’ll take the positive and go from there.”

Touchette gives credit for the hot start to his entire team.

“When our offense is a little slow, our pitching keeps us in it and if our pitching is kind of struggling, our offense steps up,” said Touchette.

After losing to Red Deer a week ago, Touchette said the revenge was sweet.

“It’s kind of turned into a rivalry. We saw them last year in the finals and the third time we’ve seen them this year so after losing it’s nice to come back with a win.”

Dodgers are back at it Saturday with a double-header in Airdrie against the Brewers. First game starts at 1 p.m.
