Lacombe Dodgers are on the brink of elimination after losing 13-4 to the Innisfail Trappers in Game 1 of the Parkland League Finals.

Player-manager Andre Touchette wasn’t too pleased with how the team played, but isn’t getting too down about it.

“We know we can do it, we know we’re a good team. For whatever reason it wasn’t our day and we just have to put it behind us and go forward from there.”

Despite the loss, Touchette said they’re still confident and believe they can pull out a win in Game 2 on Friday in Innisfail.

“We’ll take it and kind of put it behind us. Everyone has played for a while and knows what they need to do individually and hopefully we’ll be ready.”

Dodgers went 11-3 in the regular season, good enough for first place in the league.
