Ron Cook socked two homeruns and drove in seven RBIs last night, leading the Lacombe Dodgers to a 12-2 victory over the Red Deer Razorbacks at Michener Park.

The centrefielder’s three-run shot in the sixth inning opened up a 10-run lead on Red Deer, triggering the mercy rule.

“I was just waiting for a good pitch to hit. I’m finally figuring out my swing now. Making good contact, shortening up the swing and driving some balls hard and it ended up going over. Just trying to help put runs on the board and help the team win,” Cooks said afterward.

Taylor Mulder started the game on the mound for the Dodgers, throwing six innings and striking out six.
