From Brent Young, Central Alberta Sting:

The Central Alberta Sting U19AA ringette team returned home from the 32nd annual Edmonton Woods Tournament with a silver medal!

Sting entered the Gold medal finals undefeated in their 4 previous games.

A solid game by McKenna Smalley in net along with goals from Kianna Doyle, Emily LaMasurier, Hannah Morrison and Rachel Vandervlis were not enough to beat the Eastman Flames of Manitoba who won 6-4.

Meanwhile the Central Alberta Sting U14AA ringette team lost all 5 tournament matches.

Highlights included 2 goal games on the weekend for Katie Shorey, Ryann Tonery and Charlie Young.
