Central Alberta Buccaneers play their most important game of the year Saturday night, when they host the Lloydminster Vandals in playoff action.

It’s win or go home for the Bucs, who won their only regular season game against the vandals 58-14.

Bucs finished with an impressive 6-2 record in the regular season and offensive tackle Roth said he’s looking forward to getting things started.

“It’s always exciting to get going with playoffs. It’s a do-or-die game every time so it’s pretty easy to get amped up for that situation.”

Heading into Saturday Roth said he feels confident.

“We just have to stick to what we’ve been doing for the last four games or so. Get good execution, stay disciplined, keep penalties to a minimum and play our game by getting the receivers open and our run game moving.”

Bucs will be looking to redeem themselves in this year’s playoffs, after losing in the finals last season against Fort McMurray.

Game is 6 p .m. at MEGlobal Athletic Park.
