An undefeated season, followed up with no championship.

The Central Alberta Buccaneers kick off their season at tonight’s annual meeting with their eyes already set on the final prize.

Where Linebacker Todd Lewis says you'll have the chance to come meet the current players, and find out how you can play, watch, or help out this season.

"You could think of it as a backstage pass kind of thing. You can come rub elbows with all of us a figure out who we are"

Lewis says everyone is welcome to come out and learn a little more about their team.

"We want absolutely anybody who is interested in the team to come. So that's if you want to play. You want to come be a volunteer. Sponsors, fans, awesome. We've got the room for the evening come hang out with us."

They'll also be unveiling their 2017 season slogan "Out For Blood"

Which Lewis says isn't just about getting back to the AFL finals and winning that elusive first championship.

"We're trying to continue building our family, our organizations. And we've come a long way, but we're not done yet. We want our organization to grow, in terms of numbers. We want more blood to join our team."

You can learn more by going to tonight’s meeting at 7pm at the Red Deer College, in room 2301.
