With gas prices soaring over the past few months, and no relief in sight, a lot of Central Albertans may want to consider taking shorter trips. Instead of a long trip to the mountains many have decided to break their holidays into shorter day trips around our own area.

To help with that, Tourism Red Deer has come out with the first official visitor's guide since 2019.

This guide is designed to share all the things to do in our area with returning visitors. Guides will be available throughout the Red Deer region and our province. This interactive guide gives visitors an excellent preview of Tourism Red Deer's extensive new website. You will see QR codes throughout the guide that will link to more in-depth information on www.visitreddeer.comDiscover things to do, spots to eat and drink, places to stay and so much more.

You can also find helpful resources like maps, fun summer bucket list ideas and so many tools to help make exploring Red Deer’s Backyard even easier.

Rene Rondeau, The Executive Director of Tourism Red Deer talks about the guide “We are so excited to have a fresh new guide to Red Deer and central Alberta. Our team has worked very hard to put this together with the goal to help connect visitors directly to our amazing members. We are here to help give our visitors a truly authentic and memorable experience by providing them with all the resources they need while they are here in Red Deer. We have so much to offer the visitor and we can’t wait to show it off.”
