Over 150 cattle have settled in at Westerner Park for the Westerner Championship Dairy Showcase which runs through Saturday (Oct 29th).

It's Western Canada's largest dairy show.

Event, Sales and Production Assistant Manager Nancy Paish says It's a show with a lot of history and a special celebration is planned this year "it's been around for over 65 years, it takes place at Westerner Park each year, it's a Westerner produced event. We're welcoming this year Wally Smith from Dairy Farmers of Canada to celebrate our 125th Anniversary with us".

Event highlights include the Central Alberta Holstein Club Sale, the Youth Show, the Jersey Show and the Holstein Show.

There is also industry seminars, a tradeshow and the ever popular Mega-Moola Jackpot.

All events take place in the Agricentre Building at Westerner Park.
