The United Conservative Party constituency forum for the Lacombe—Ponoka constituency will be happening tonight at the Lacombe Memorial Centre at 7PM. The event will be open to UCP members.
MLA Ron Orr will be retiring. Orr was first elected for the Lacombe-Ponoka constituency in 2015.
Here’s a brief run-down of the UCP candidates:
Jennifer Johnson
Jennifer Johnson has lived in the Lacombe-Ponoka area for 30 years. She’s apart of the Bentley Ag Society, and has three years as general leader of the Bentley 4-H Multi-club. Johnson has Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked in long-term care as registered nurse. Her main priorities include healthcare, education, and freedom.

Chris Ross
Chris Ross has served on Lacombe City Council since 2017 and is an active member of the community volunteering on several local committees and organizations. Ross’s main priorities include improving Alberta Health Care, Community Policing and Justice, and Education.

Dusty Myshrall
Dusty Myshrall has had a successful; career working as a paramedic over the last 20 years and has also worked as a flight paramedic. He has also worked as the President of the Alberta Paramedic’s Association. He hopes to use his experience to improve the health care system. His main priorities include affordability, healthcare, education, and justice.
