Red Deer Rebels-6  Calgary Hitmen-1

If the power play was an issue for the first three games of their series against the Calgary Hitmen, The Red Deer Rebels came back in style last night.

The Rebels scored three power play, and two short-handed goals Wednesday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary to beat the home team 6-1. In the first three games Red Deer went 0 for 16 with the man advantage.

Red Deer also excelled last night on the penalty kill, stopping ten of eleven Hitmen power plays.

Obviously the three stars of the night were all from the Rebels. Jayden Grubbe was named first star with three assists, Mats Lindgren, second star with four assists, and Ben King, was named third star after a 2 goal, 1 assist night.

Calgary would draw first blood about 5 minutes into the second period, but after that it was all Red Deer with 6 unanswered goals.

Red Deer goalie, Kyle Kelsey would stop 36 of 37 shots.

The Rebels take their 3-1 series lead back home Friday night, 7:00 pm, at The Peavey Mart Centrium.
