Until August 13th, it is the Mustard Seed’s Children & Youth Campaign. This is a campaign that focuses a proactive approach to support children and families.

This support from the community will go directly towards efforts and programming that prevents intergenerational poverty. By expanding and investing in services to include children, it canimpact the whole community –supporting children and youth means supporting families and generations to come.

“We have seen a huge increase in the demand for our School Lunch Program in the last three months,” says Laura Giesbrecht, Director of Operations for The Mustard Seed Red Deer. “Campaigns like this allow us to meet these new needs, and to not have to say no to any hungry children.”

The Mustard Seed School Lunch Program provides a nutritious lunch for 500+ children, in 46 schools, in six rural communities. Thanks to local sponsors like Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink, gifts in support of the Children & Youth Campaign will be matched up to 50% until August 31
