The 7th annual Jake Saufert Memorial Ice Fishing Derby is happening today (February 25) at Brownlows Landing on Gull Lake.

The Saufert family was able to start a Memorial fund in Jakes name. All money raised from this event will be placed in the endowment fund with the Red Deer and District Community Foundation, to provide future support to those seeking funding for Mental Health Initiatives

The one day event will run Saturday, February 25th, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

There will be cash and draw prizes for both Adults and Juniors. Lunch will be provided.

Registration fee's: $25/person, Junior Anglers free (10 and under)
