Sylvan Lake RCMP advise that the police incident on Lakeway Boulevard is now over. Officers remain at the scene but there is no further risk. An update will be provided on Thursday, September 22nd. 

 

BACKGROUND STORY:

The investigation continues at this time and an update will follow tomorrow.

Sylvan Lake RCMP are currently on-scene of a police incident on Lakeway Boulevard in Sylvan Lake.

RCMP currently have a residence contained and are working to contain the surrounding area. This containment may affect area residents retrieving their children from local schools. RCMP ask that residents avoid the area if possible, follow directions from responding officers, and refrain from posting photos of the officers on social media. Children walking home from school are being asked to wait for parents.
