From Innisfail RCMP:

On October the 8th 2019 at 943 am, Innisfail RCMP received a report of a shed being broken into at the Innisfail public library and some items were missing from that shed.  

On the same day RCMP took a report from a resident of the Days Inn that his vehicle had been broken into and a work computer and some other items were stolen.

On October 12th, 2019 at 1030 pm, Innisfail RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious person in Penhold Alta.  

Police arrived on scene and observed a male that matched the description that had been provided to police by the complainant.  

The male was observed by police rummaging through a vehicle parked in a parking lot.  

RCMP entered into an investigation and learned the male did not own the vehicle he was observed in.  

The male was arrested, and the investigation continued.  Items were located during their investigation that are believed to be related to the previously reported theft from the library and the Days Inn in Innisfail.

Joshua Darryl Pepin (30 Yrs) of No fixed address has been charged with:

  • ·Mischief
  • ·Possess property obtained by crime x6
  • ·Possess controlled substance
  • ·Drive uninsured motor vehicle

Pepin is scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on Tuesday November 26th 2019 at 0830 am.  The RCMP would like to thank the alert member of the public that assisted them in this investigation.
