After weeks of isolation, Sunny decided it was time to head out and say hello to our friends out and about the community of Lacombe.

First, we stopped over at Cilantro and Chive and gave some sweet ‘air high fives’ to Cilantro and Chive Owner, Rieley Kay. Then, we decided to cruise the town a bit.

We made our way to say hi to Val DePauw from M&M Meats. Did you know that Sunny's first appearance was at M&M Meats almost 14 years ago? Sunny and Adam made sure to use their convenient hand sanitizer station so that everyone would be safe.

We stopped by Dairy Queen to wave hello before checking out some sneakers at Red’s Source for sports where we met up with Tammy Derowin for a nice little chat.

Then, we were invited to a surprise birthday party in Parkland Acres.

After the party, Sunny swung by Boston Pizza to say hello to owner, Natalie Reglin who was all smiles when we arrived.

Finally, Sunny insisted we visit Sobeys, Lionel’s No Frills, and Central Alberta Co-op to give our thanks to our essential workers who have kept us maybe too well fed during this pandemic.

Overall, Sunny was thrilled to get out into public even though he couldn’t give out his usual hugs and high fives. Thanks to all those in the community who shared smiles and waves with us while respecting social distancing.

Let us know if you’d like to see Sunny out and about more often!
