Strong smell of gas reported in Sylvan lake

Residents of Lakeview, Fox Run, and many parts of west Sylvan Lake have reported a strong smell of gas this morning.

According to ATCO Gas, "there was a leak from a local energy producer, opertating in the area. They have been contacted about the issue to handle the issue on their site."

Crews were seen working on the area near the railway tracks at the intersection of 60th street and 47th avenue. There were unconfirmed reports of Emergency Services on site earlier ths morning as well.
