Cremona native Rhett Stoesser was solid again in the pipes for The Red Deer Rebels who beat The Calgary Hitmen 4-1 Thursday night at home.

Stoesser made 28 saves and lowered his goals-against average to just 2.16 in front of over 4700 fans at The Peavey Mart Centrium.

Also outstanding in the game... Kai Uchacz, who had back to back games with a hat-trick. Uchacz who scored three against Edmonton on Tuesday night, did the same last night against Calgary. He continues to lead the league in goals with 29, two more than The Regina Pats' Connor Bedard.

Uchacz was named first star in the game, Stoesser was second.

The Rebels final game of 2022 goes tonight in Edmonton against the Oil Kings and then they play New Year's Day in Calgary. Their next home game is January 11th versus The Moose Jaw Warriors.
