UPDATE: STARS called to two vehicle collision near Bowden

UPDATE: Olds RCMP are advising Highway 587 between Range Road 11 and Range Road 12 is now passable in both directions.

Original Post: 

On July 26, 2022 at 12:12 p.m., Olds RCMP and Emergency Services, responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 587 and Range Road 12 near Bowden. 

The driver and lone occupant of a passenger vehicle was airlifted by STARS to an area hospital in critical condition.  The driver and lone occupant of a second passenger vehicle was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries.  No further details are known at this time.

Highway 587 between Range Road 11 and Range Road 12 remains impassable as the RCMP Collision Reconstructionist assists Olds RCMP with the investigation.  Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes.

An update will be provided once the roads become passable.
