The Red Deer Museum and Art Gallery (MAG) and The Red Deer Native Friendship Society,  will be holding a special ceremony this Friday (May 5th) for Red Dress Day.

Red Dress Day started on May 5th, 2010 and is held annually to recognize and commemorate missing and murdered Indigenous women, children, and two spirit people.

Red dresses will be hung around Central Alberta to mark this day. A ceremony will be held at Red Deer City Hall Park starting with opening ceremonies at 9, with a walk to the museum to follow.
