Red Deer RCMP is seeking the public’s help to identify two suspects involved in a shooting incident that happened during the early morning hours of August 31, 2022. 

At 2:12 am, RCMP received a call from a witness who reported a male in his 30s suffering from a gun shot wound at the corner of 52 Avenue and 59 Street. Police responded and located the victim. EMS attended the location and transported the male to Red Deer Regional Hospital for further medical evaluation. 

Preliminary investigation suggests the victim was shot following a verbal argument with two unidentified persons. Red Deer RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) has carriage of the investigation. Police do not believe there is concern to the general public. 

The first suspect is described as a clean-shaven white male on a bicycle wearing a dark-coloured baseball cap and shorts.

The second suspect is described as an Indigenous female of average build with orange-coloured hair.
