It was 80's night at The Peavey Mart Centrium Saturday, but according to the score it was far from that decade that would see very high scoring games.

The Red Deer Rebels scored with just over two minutes left in regulation time to tie the Brandon Wheat Kings. With the Rebels on the power play, Jayden Grubbe finally put one past Brandon's goalie Nicholas Jones. Rebel's goalie Rhett Stoesser also played great and kept the team in the game making 32 saves.

Once again, the Rebels Kai Uchacz was a big factor in the game as he fought Luke Shipley in the second period and then assisted on both of Red Deer's goals. Uchacz is now second only to Connor Bedard in league scoring. Uchacz has 36 goals while Bedard (Regina Pats) has 39.

In overtime, Red Deer took total control of the game and scored with a goal by Kalan Lind to pull out a 2-1  win before 4,615 fans.
