A  possible tornado or land spout was reported near Stettler Wednesday afternoon. Other communities including Botha and Donalda were also on alert.

At around 4:46 pm , Environment Canada had issued a tornado warning for the area, saying they were tracking a storm that was producing a tornado, damaging winds and heavy rainfall.

People living in the area were calling in reports of the possible tornado that could be seen from several kilometers away.

There have been no reports of damage or injuries.

The intense storm lasted for about 15 minutes and at that time Environment Canada lifted the tornado warning but a severe thunderstorm watch remains in place.
