The Town of Penhold will soon be hosting their second annual Spring Fling event on Saturday, May 28th. The event will be a great opportunity to get rid of some of the junk that has been kicking around your home, or participate in some community activities.

You can bring your bottles for the Penhold Youth Club, shred papers, or bring donations for the Food Bank at the Penhold Regional Multiplex. While you are at the Multiplex, you can pick up a pack of bedding plants, get the screws of your license plate switched over to anti-theft screws by Innisfail & District Victim Services, take a tour of a fire truck, build a card board castle, chat with the Penhold Citizens on Patrol, and enjoy a treat from the food trucks.

Kids can also bring their bikes over to join the Innisfail & Area Family Resource Network & RCMP for a Bike Safety Rodeo at 11:30 a.m. This is a great opportunity for kids to refresh their bike safety skills before heading out on the trails, paths, and pump track this summer.

In addition to the Spring Fling-It, May 28 is the day of Penhold’s Community Garage Sale. With garage sales at 25 addresses, including the Senior’s Drop-In Centre and Community TIES daycare, there are many treasures to be found for everyone.

It will also be the Kick-It To-The-Curb weekend, watch for items posted with FREE signs while you are exploring Penhold.
