Members of the Penhold Volunteer Fire Department will be going to Northern Alberta to fight fires. The fire department will be sending up equipment and personnel to assist over the course of the next couple of weeks.  

They will be deployed to Hay River travelling 1,200 km stopping at Smoky River Fire & Rescue for a rest along the way.  

The Town has said that they are very proud of their incredible team of volunteer firefighters.
