There is only one more sleep until Christmas Day!

Many kids will be patiently awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus. Santa Claus has to travel 510,000,000 KM today which is no small task.

You can track Santa by using the Norad tracker which is available here.

Claire Giles is a local grade 5 student at Alix-Mac School and a self-proclaimed Christmas expert who actually received a letter back from the big man in red himself. Here’s what he had to say to her.

“He said he has to watch the reindeer, because of the reindeer games they play and said congratulations of being the captain of your hockey team and I can't remember anything else. There's too many things,” she explained.

Giles asked Santa for a horse this Christmas but says a lot of her friends are interested in messy things like slime.

She says at Christmas time her family likes to go skating but due to the warmer weather in central Alberta, they are trying some new things out this year.

“I think this year we’re going to have a pinata and stuff that we’re going to do. I think we’re going to play golf... I don’t know grandma will make it work,” she explained.

Central Alberta Online and Sunny 94 wish all our listeners and readers a very merry Christmas and the happiest of New Years.
