École Secondaire Notre Dame High School was made aware of a potential Snapchat threat to the safety of staff and students today. Once aware of the threat, school administration followed Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools (RDCRS) Hour Zero protocols, which included involving the RCMP. 

RCMP immediately responded to the school and investigated the threat and determined that it did not involve École Secondaire Notre Dame High School. RCMP reported to RDCRS they apprehended an individual, whom they believe was responsible for the threat and police are continuing with the investigation. 

RCMP are confident there was no threat to students and staff at École Secondaire Notre Dame High School.

As always, the safety of students and staff are the Division’s top priority. RDCRS is grateful for our partnership with the RCMP and for their support in this situation. We would also like to thank students, parents, guardians, and staff for working with us.
