The Government of Alberta has launched a new wild fire status dashboard to give Albertans a better idea where wild fires are happening and how many are active.  The dashboard can provide information on the location, size, province and suspected causes of wild fires.

“Albertans want to be in the know during wildfire season and do their part to prevent human-caused wildfires. Last year, 67 per cent of wildfires were caused by humans. These new tools will empower residents and visitors with the information they need to make smart decisions during wildfire season,” Nate Horner, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Economic Development .

The app will also tell you where fire bans are in the area. Right now, there is only a fire advisory in the County of Camrose.
