Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Riley Quance as acting assistant principal at École Secondaire Lacombe Composite High School (ÉSLCHS).

“Riley will be a great addition to the leadership team at ÉLCHS. He brings a commitment to affiliative leadership with students, staff and families. His passion for sports has enabled him to connect with students in a way that enhances his classroom and admin presence,” said Corrine Thorsteinson, assistant superintendent - people services. Quance joined Wolf Creek Public Schools in 1999 as a teacher at Rimbey Jr./Sr. High School.

He currently serves in the role of assistant principal at Ponoka Secondary Campus, and was previously the principal at Alix MAC School, and assistant principal at both ÉSLCHS and Mecca Glen School.

“Lacombe Composite High School is a great school, doing tremendous and innovative things. It has a great culture for students to learn and grow, and I am excited to be a part of the admin team there. I look forward to working again with the staff and students and building relationships with the community,” said Quance.

Quance holds a BEd from the University of Alberta and a Masters in The Art & Science of Teaching from Wilkes University.
