As I was walking up the steps to my house yesterday, I noticed a some birds flying away from under our front porch. I didn't think too much of it until I noticed that they have started building a nest behind our outdoor lighting.

It took awhile to see them again, but finally got a photo of the birds. I'm not a bird expert, but after doing some google research, I think they may be some kind of House Finch.

I have to admit that  we were happy to have them trust our home as a place to raise their family. I hope the eggs will hatch and they will grow.

My only concern is people walking up and down the steps making them too nervous.
