The skating trail in Ponoka that winds through Lions Centennial Park will officially be open to skaters on Friday, December 23.

Skaters will be able to take in the glittering lights as they glide on the ice. The display will be maintained until the end of February and can be accessed by the north-end gazebo at Centennial Park.

The skating trail was built by the Ponoka County East District Fire Department in conjunction with the Town of Ponoka Operations crews.  The ice trail is for public skating only and hockey will not be permitted on this surface.
