After a two year COVID break, the 55+ Canada Summer Games took place in Kelowna last week.
Over 2500 athletes from across Canada took part in 26 different events.
The 55+ Mixed curling team from Lacombe represented Alberta and defeated Team Saskatchewan 7-6 in an extra end in the final game to win the Canadian championship.
The team was skipped by Lyle Lorenz and included Wendy Long, John Basarab, and Gwen Farnsworth.
