Lacombe Police are crediting the move back to local dispatch in the recent arrest of 3 individuals following a break and enter at a west end business.

It was about 4:30 am last Tuesday when Officers were dispatched for an intrusion alarm at Fit Body Boot Camp, and they were able to stop a vehicle leaving with the trio inside.

They recovered electronic items taken from the business as well as property connected to two earlier b and e's in Red Deer, plus a loaded sawed off shotgun and counterfeit money.

Acting Police Chief Lorne Blumhagen says local dispatch is definitely improving response times “we were able to attend the scene within minutes of that call coming in, and be able to deal with suspects at the location instead of following up afterwards because they have left. They were found in possession of the property from the break and enter so that in itself just shows that we do have the ability to get to calls quickly and can have some successful outcomes”.
