The Lacombe will be doing their annual food drive this Saturday.

Starting today, watch for bags dropped off on your doorstep. Fill those bags with non-perishable food items and have them sitting outside on your step before 3 pm, this Saturday.

Lloyd Garbenko, a board member for the food bank talks about the drive.

"Every year we cover the whole town, dropping off bags with notes on them. Then on Saturday from about 3:30 to 5:30, We have students and adults that will drive around picking up the filled bags. This year we will have 24 vehicles going out with students and an adult driver."

When asked what type of items are needed, Garbenko says they are looking for everything.

"I was in the Food Bank Yesterday and saw that we need everything. There were no cans of tuna or Salmon and also no coffee. It seems that everyone gives something different and that works every year."
