To win one Provincial championship is a pretty big thing, but to win two in the same year is amazing.

That's what 15-year-old Sierra Wyatt did this year in curling. The first win was with her brother Ryder Wyatt and the LCHS Rams, where they won the Provincial High School Mixed Championship held in St. Paul, AB.

The second was the Curling Alberta U15 Provincial Championship held in Grande Prairie, AB

Sierra, who started curling at age 11 got into the sport by watching her older brother play. At age 12 she she qualified for the Curling Alberta Hit/Draw/Tap Provincials. Since then she has practiced daily during the season and watched old curling matches on T.V.

During the off-season Sierra will keep busy by doing other hobbies such as waterskiing and fishing.  She also has Curling Camp on the schedule for mid-August.

The next goal for Sierra? To qualify for the U18 provincials next season.
