From Drayton Bussiere, County Fire Chief:
 
At approximately 10:30 pm on Thursday, April 18 fire crews from Clive and Lacombe responded to a Structure Fire on Range Road 252 in Lacombe County. No residents or Firefighters were injured at this fire and the house would be considered a total loss. Cause of the fire is still to be determined.
 
At approximately 8:05 am on Saturday, April 20 Lacombe Fire responded to a fire on 51 street in Lacombe. The fire had been extinguished by the occupants and crews attended to ensure the scene was safe. 
 
At approximately 8:10 pm on Saturday, April 20 fire crews from Alix and Clive responded to a structure fire on Hwy 50 in Mirror. This house was unoccupied and there were no injuries. Fire is believed to have started in the attic of the home and is considered to be a total loss. 
 
Shortly after 5:00 pm on Sunday, April 21 Lacombe Fire was dispatched to an outside fire near Hwy 604 and Clive Fire was dispatched for Mutual Aid to Ponoka County Fire for a large outside fire in Ponoka County. Crews were on the scene into the evening dealing with dry conditions at both locations. 
 
The crews throughout Lacombe County were dispatched 11 times since Thursday evening. 
 
Fire Chief Drayton Bussiere said, "I would like to take the time to thank all of the volunteer firefighters in all of Lacombe County for giving so much of their time to their communities on what is supposed to be a holiday weekend.
 
"The commitment and dedication of these men and women should not go unrecognized."
