Sunny 94’s Annual Barbeque made a splash of Lacombe Days. Not only could we enjoy delicious burgers but we had quite a bit of fun as well.

We would like to extend a huge thank-you to the Lacombe Fire Department for making the very special delivery of a dunk tank which was quite a hit—no pun intended.

Ride-Home Show Host, Adam Hamilton was dunked by throw number one by our very own mascot Sunny as well as several others who took part in the fun. The A&W Root Bear dunked Director of the Lacombe and District Chamber of Commerce Jeffrey Hanger who was also sitting in the hot seat of the dunk tank.

If you didn’t have a chance to test your arm the dunk tank will be at the Lacombe Fire Hall Jr. Firefighter Games & BBQ tomorrow (July 15) at the Lacombe Fire Department after the parade.

A&W provided all the amazing burgers and the Lacombe Kinsmen Club grilled up about 800 of them. We are so thankful to everyone who gave a donation to the Kinsmen Club. We fundraised over $750 for them!

Their organization supports all sorts of local initiatives. Recently, the organization provided a $25,000 cheque for the Clive Athletic and Agricultural Society for the Clive Arena. This summer, the Kinsmen also hosted the Jon Dolman Memorial Golf Classic in support of cancer research.

Thanks to everyone who helped out and came to say hello! We hope everyone enjoys Lacombe Days this weekend.
