On April 13, 2024, Innisfail RCMP observed a motorcycle in Innisfail with no licence plate. RCMP members attempted a traffic stop on the motorcycle, however, it did not stop and accelerated at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle drove through numerous stop signs without stopping and cut off other motorists. The motorcycle then lost control on gravel near the auction mart and crashed the bike. The driver attempted to flee the area on foot, but he was apprehended by RCMP.

Investigation revealed that the motorcycle was stolen and the VIN had been tampered with. The suspect was a suspended driver and when arrested and searched, found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and fentanyl.
