Much of the province remains in a heat warning today. Daily temperatures are expected to be around 30 degrees throughout the day. Some areas are expected to cool off into the weekend but temperatures are expected to remain high into next week as well.

During a heat warning Environment Canada encourages the following precautions:

  • Scheduling outdoor activities for the cooler hours of the day

  • Take frequent breaks from the heat

  • Drink plenty of water

  • Do not leave children or pets in a warm vehicle

  • Pay attention to infants, children and seniors for symptoms of heat exhaustion or heat stroke
