Two Edmonton area Counties have now declared States of Agricultural disaster because of the harvest set backs rain and snow has dealt their producers.

Lac Ste. Anne, just northwest of Edmonton, joins Brazeau County, southwest of the City in the Drayton Valley area with the declaration in hopes the federal and provincial government will respond and help farmers.

Lac Ste. Anne County Councillor Ross Bohnet says the county has struggled through drought and grasshopper years in the past but this is the first time he recalls it declaring a disaster during harvest season.
