In front of the biggest crowd in team history, The Sylvan Lake Gulls beat The Fort MacMurray Giants 4-2 in game one of their Western Conference semi-final.

After rallying back from a 1-0 deficit in the third inning to tie the game, fan favourite Tyler McWilly, hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth to put The Gulls up 2-1. A Ben Prediger double then put Sylvan Lake up for good with two more runs coming across the plate.

Winning pitcher, Josh Tucker, who was named Player of The Game, struck out 11 over 7 innings.
