The Sylvan Lake Gulls 2023 season has come to an end after a 7-1 loss to the Okotoks Dawgs Saturday night.
In front of another record-breaking crowd of over 2100 fans at Gulls Stadium, the home team just couldn't pull it off.
Ty Boudreau would pitch 5 innings allowing 6 runs with 4 strikeouts. Ben Prediger would get the only run for Sylvan Lake.
In their third season in the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL), the Sylvan Lake Gulls had a regular season record of 38 wins with 18 losses. They were second place in the West Division.
The team would also prove to be very popular in Central Alberta with record-breaking crowds and a lot of fans wearing Gulls gear.
The Okotoks Dawgs will now await the outcome of the series between Medicine Hat and Moosejaw which is tied at one game apiece.
