The rain held off Sunday, but unfortunately the Lethbridge Bulls offense did not. After The Sylvan Lake Gulls beat Lethbridge on Friday things were looking good heading into a full weekend of Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) action.

But back to back losses Saturday and Sunday, left Sylvan Lake with an 8-6 record.

The Gulls were up 2-0 after two innings, but then things started to unravel in the third with two runs against, and then 5 runs in the fourth. Another four runs in the top of the 7th erased any chance of a Sylvan Lake comeback.

One bright spot for the home team was designated hitter Tyler McWillie, who hit a home run and had three RBI's on the day. He was named The Gulls Player of The Game.

Next up for Sylvan Lake is a game tomorrow night in Brooks at Elks Stadium. Game time is 7:05
